UK Blockade of Kickass Torrents, H33t and Fenopy Goes into Effect Starting Today

ISPs across the UK have started blocking Kickass Torrents, H33t and Fenopy – three of the world’s most visited and largest torrent sites starting today.

Earlier this month, UK high court had ordered the blockade of the three BitTorrent sites citing reasons that the sites were involved in distribution of pirated content and were facilitating copyright infringement. The charges were brought upon by BPI which represents major music labels in UK.

Complying with the court order major ISPs like BT, Virgin Media, O2 are preventing users from accessing these sites across the UK. The High Court ruled that the three sites were profiting by facilitating copyright infringement and piracy activities. There was no definitive timeline for the blockades but our sources confirm that atleast four ISPs have started blocking Kickass Torrents, H33t and Fenopy.

A similar court order saw the blockade of The Pirate Bay across the UK through all ISPs.
