[Updated] GitHub Goes Tits Up, Again!!!

[Update@10:58 AM PST September 11]: It seems that GitHub is coming back to its normal operational status. One may ask as to the reasons behind two major outages in two consecutive days. Database issues two days in a row is just too hard to digest!!!

[Update@10:12 AM PST September 11]: After yesterday's fix, the GibHub Status page is again showing up partial service outage. It seems that the Git and Downloads sections are suffering from outage at the moment. The pages are opening just fine as of now.

GitHub is not accessible at the moment and it seems that the downtime is because of some database issues.

GitHub started experiencing downtime at about 7:05 AM PST and during that time database server seemed to be the primary reason for the downtime. The team over at GitHub did try to fail over to the secondary server but, it seems that the site is still facing issues.

In about six minutes time, the site went down again at 7:19 AM PST. The site landing page shows an error with 500 status code at the moment.

[Update@7:35 AM PST September 10]: The GibHub Status page is still showing up partial service outage

[Update@7:40 AM PST September 10]: The GitHub status page itself is not accessible at times. Probably the main Database server is still recovering.

[Update@7:55 AM PST September 10]: According to the status page, GitHub is recovering at the moment but access is still slow.

[Update@10:39 AM PST September 10: GitHub is just fine now.
