Marking another release in the KDE 4.9 series, this version is equipped with updates related to language translations along with improvements in the Dolphin file manager. KDE has revealed in the release announcement that anyone running version 4.9.4 or an earlier version should update to 4.9.5 as it is virtually safe because it contains only bugfixes and translation updates.
“As the release only contains bugfixes and translation updates, it will be a safe and pleasant update for everyone” notes KDE in the announcement. KDE 4.9.5 can be downloaded from here.
KDE is planning to release KDE 4.10 next month sometime, tentatively on 6 February.
