At a pre-E3 press briefing Sony’s Chief Executive Jack Tretton revealed that PlayStation 4 will have “no restrictions” on used games and that users will not be required to keep their gaming consoles connected to the internet as long as they are playing single player games.
Sony is to reveal more information about its next gaming console – the PlayStation 4 tonight and chances are that the consumer electronics giant will show off some big game titles along with answers to some rather important questions.
Sony must have flipped the pages on its PlayStation book to as early as PlayStation 3 launch and having learned a lesson or two it will try to keep the pricing of PlayStation 4 as much under $400 as it possibly can, claims an analyst.
The launch events of Microsoft Xbox One and Sony PlayStation 4 had a few differences – Sony went on about the hardware specifications of the PS4 and didn’t reveal much about the appearance of the next-gen gaming console whereas Microsoft showed us the console and talked about the extras rather than revealing anything about the hardware specifications. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 both come with 64-bit APUs from AMD but, they are different to a great extent.
Sony may have a hard time shipping out the expected 12-16 million units of its next-gen gaming console – the PlayStation (PS) 4 it has been reported.
Sony is believed to be working on two new flagship smartphones which are slated for release sometime in the second half of this year, one of which, according to rumours, is going to be equipped with a 20 megapixel camera.
Sony announced its next generation PlayStation 4 last month along with some technical details of the console; however Sony failed to uncover every aspect of their new console. Today during the game Developers Conference, Sony hinted about the capacity of the hard drive which will be used in the PlayStation 4, and say it will be “very large.”

Sony has confirmed that the premium PlayStation Network Service – PlayStation Plus, which provides free games and other multimedia stuff to its subscribers, will play a “prominent” role in Playstation4.
