The UK Justice Department Website was down, probably because of a distributed denial of service attack (DDoS), at around 8pm UT. Around 40 min after this Department of Work and Pensions website also suffered from downtime. Anonymous Twitter feed is claiming that both these websites were taken down as a part of their #OpFreeAssange move.

The next in line of fire is UK Prime Minister’s website for Number 10 Downing Street and Anonymous is also distributing DDoS tools for this particular attack. This attack is not going to gain much for Assange as the UK Government is unlikely to change its attitude towards the WikiLeaks founder.
