Office 365 University package from Microsoft is now being offered at rock bottom price of ₹87/month for a period of 4 years totaling to just ₹4,199.

Microsoft said in a press release that it has tied up with major colleges, institutions and universities across India to offer the service. Students will be able to access apps like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access after buying the service. Students can use up to two systems – two PCs or Macs at the same time and can even sync contents on their home PC with the other source. Redmond is also throwing in 20GB worth of storage on SkyDrive for free.

Students willing to buy the subscription would be required to specify the credentials of the university / college or institute where they are studying. If students can’t find the particular college listed, they can provide additional information following which access will be granted.

There are courses in India that run for a duration of three years also but, Microsoft is going to allow those students to use the service for an extra one year period even if they are no longer with the education body.

Microsoft has revealed that it’s not only students who can avail the subscription at a discounted price but, even the college faculty and staff and go for the Office 365 University subscription.
