Samsung made the announcement using a series of tweets. In one it said, “#GALAXYS4zoom will be available in India with white and black colours and is priced at Rs 29,900/-“, while in another it noted “#GALAXYS4mini would be priced at Rs. 27,900 in India with attractive introductory offer.”

The Korean electronics giant’s Galaxy S4 Zoom is basically a digital camera featuring a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and is powered by a dual-core processor. The camera has 10x optical zoom, Xenon flash and is equipped with image stabilizer. The front of the camera has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display constructed using Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and has a 960×540 pixel resolution, has a dual-core 1.5 GHz mobile processor, 1.5 GB RAM and 8 GB on-board storage expandable to up to 64 GB using a microSD card.

The S4 mini on the other hand has a screen size similar to that of the S4 zoom – 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with 960×540 pixel resolution. The smartphone is powered by dual-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 1.5 GB RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.9-megapixel front one, 8GB on board storage with expandability of up to 64GB using a microSD card, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with GLONASS support, and IR among other. The S4 mini runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Nature UX layer on top of it.
