Karbonn previously went head to head against the Micromax A116 with its S5 smartphone and the latest move seems to be no different despite the fact that very few details about the S6 have been revealed till date.

According to Karbonn, the S6 won’t be leaving a gaping hole in consumer’s pockets unlike the Galaxy S4 which indicates that the smartphone is not going to be priced steeply and will keep it below ₹20,000. The company also revealed that beyond the urge to launch affordable smartphones it was more inclined towards launching quality-driven products.

Pradeep Jain, Karbonn’s MD, while speaking exclusively with NDTV gave out a few details about the components of the S6. Jain said that the Titanium S6 will have a full HD touch panel; will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor; and will have Android as an operating system. Exact details about the version of the OS weren’t revealed though.

The official didn’t reveal anything about the screen size either. But, considering that the smartphone will be pitched against the likes of Canvas 4 and Galaxy S4, the Titanium S6 may have screen somewhere around the 5-inch benchmark.
