The TowTruck service is currently in a proof-of-concept stage. Just a snippet of JavaScript code will bring real-time collaboration just like in Google Drive to any website thereby allowing users to voice chat, message each other and go about authoring activities using the Web RTC.

Mozilla is known for its open source projects and TowTruck is the latest in its efforts towards an open web. With ever increasing importance of remote communications Mozilla’s motive behind build an open source solution is to allow everyone to communicate with each other easily.

The TowTruck is in its very early stages and Mozilla has warned that it is “alpha-quality software.” We haven’t tested the software at ParityNews but, there is a demo video available for you to see here. You can get the code here.
