The Play Store now features larger images and friendlier interface that would help users to find they content they are looking for without having to spend huge amount of time. The redesign focuses on usability and Google has ensured that content that is of similar theme is “grouped together so you can hone in on a magazine to read or an app to try.”

Announcing the new Play Store Michael Siliski, group product manager for Google Play, noted in a blog post, “Today we’ve started rolling out a redesigned Google Play store on Android phones and tablets that is simple, clean and — most importantly — helps you find great entertainment, fast.”

Google also claims that the purchase process has been simplified to an extent that the user can just ‘breeze’ through the process and start enjoying the content immediately.

The redesigned Play store will be available to all smartphones and tablets having Android 2.2 or higher and will reach to all Android users over the next few weeks.
