Redmond has been busy issuing fixes for Surface RT and Pro versions. Since the release RT has witnessed total five releases that addressed hardware bugs and Pro has witnessed a total of three patch releases. According to Microsoft’s release notes, RT bugs related to Wi-Fi will be resolved through the latest patches.

Surface Pro will see resolution of a variety of issues including problems with touch navigation in the UEFI boot menu, intermittent connectivity issues with Surface Type and Touch covers, issue where toggling Airplane mode disables the Wi-Fi driver among others.

The patches can be downloaded through the automatic Windows Update. Tablet owners who disabled their update system will not be updated – so it is recommended that you turn the automatic update on or contact your systems administrator. In case you have missed out on previous updates worry not as the updates are cumulative and you shall receive all the updates through automatic update process.
