BlackBerry Z10, which recently got its first OTA update, is outselling iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S 3 at a major Canadian Retailer. BGR has confirmed that half of Z10 sales in Canada and one-third of UK sales have been made to users coming who already either owned an iPhone or an Android smartphone. This shows keen interest of the people towards BlackBerry OS10 which is just starting to show its strength.

The site manages to learn that BlackBerry has somehow succeeded in pulling the attention of the customers and several high-level BlackBerry executives have confirmed internally that half of all BlackBerry Z10 sales in Canada have been made to new customers coming from other platforms.

BlackBerry has declined to comment on the matter but the early sale results show that BlackBerry will have a strong impact on the smartphone market. BlackBerry Z10 is a very capable smartphone with killer looks and bold attitude but, a recent teardown revealed that the internals of new Z10 were more or less similar to those available in Samsung Galaxy S3. BlackBerry has more smartphones in the pipeline which will be released this year and all of them will run OS10.
