According to the report, Apple’s Asian component suppliers have already initiated production and that the iPad Mini will be having a lower resolution LCD display as compared to its full-sized siblings. The report cites two individuals and reveals that LCD displays for the iPad mini have already begun at LG Display Co. and AU Optronics Corp.

WSJ’s report follows the leak of alleged parts of the iPad Mini. Pictures published by reveal quite a few details about the new tablet. The headphone jack will be located on the top of the device; the bottom of the device has space for Apple’s Lightning connector. Another thing to note is that the back panel photo doesn’t show iPad Mini or iPad Air written anywhere as one would have imagined, instead it just shows iPad along with Apple’s logo.

Macotakara, a Japanese blog, reported on Monday iPad Mini is already being manufactured in Brazil at Foxconn’s facility.
