SamMobile has posted the first pre-release version of Jelly Bean for Galaxy S III and has revealed that users will be able to get the official update through KIES as well as over-the-air (OTA) by the end of this month or maximum by beginning of the next.

The I9300XXDLG4 test build [video below] is equipped with some interesting features reports the site; one of them being able to ‘boot the device in safe mode’ and another being the ability to use one’s palm to take a screenshot. The pre-release build, if installed, will void any warranty you might have so we recommend you tread carefully and decide to update your Galaxy S III at your own risk.

The folks over at SamMobile did face some issues like not being able to install few apps and issues pertaining to microSD card reformatting. If you wouldn’t want to wait for a few more days for the official release, you may head on to SamMobile for directions on installing the test build.
